We're helping in salmon science research, again, as we have done for many years. You'll be participating in the Avid Anglers Program. We'll be recording the details of all the salmon we catch or release . We'll measure length and get a tissue sample for DNA which will be analyzed to identify the home river of each fish . Also, the fish we release will get a PIT tag , a tiny electronic tag inserted in the body cavity, and then carefully released. All my guests have been very supportive and gain a feel-good experience to contribute to the salmon knowledge base.
